Singer, songwriter and musician Zakiya Harmony began her quest in music at the tender age of 9 with playing the saxophone in her school band. At the age of 15 she taught her self to play the baritone and marched in her high school marching band. She auditioned for a college band at the age of 17 and received a music scholarship to attend college. Zakiya Harmony taught herself to play the guitar and has been playing for a year to date. She has performed at many events from The Sweet Auburn Music Festival in Atlanta to The Sister Talk Conference held by Judge Penny Brown of Family Court. Zakiya has been singing for about three years now. With a natural gift of song at an early age she only wanted to rap for several years. Her wishes are to impact the world through music and heartfelt lyrics. Zakiya performs weekly at some of the hottest venues around.
